Stephanie Safos-Moriarty

Stephanie Safos-Moriarty is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and Connecticut, with licensure pending in Washington. With more than 20 years of combined experience as both an educator and counselor, she brings a rare blend of professional knowledge, lived insight, and genuine compassion to her work.

Her Approach
Stephanie believes therapy should feel safe, affirming, and deeply supportive. Her practice is grounded in inclusive, affirmative care, with a strong commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Many of the individuals she works with are exploring gender identity, navigating major life transitions, or seeking healthier, more connected relationships. Stephanie creates a nonjudgmental space where clients are encouraged to show up as their authentic selves.

She draws from a thoughtful blend of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered, solution-focused, and strength-based techniques. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model, she tailors therapy to each person’s unique needs and goals, helping clients build coping tools, strengthen resilience, and move toward meaningful growth.
